High blood pressure is mainly referred to as a silent killer disease, therefore, a constant check is necessary since it will enable you to find out when your blood pressure is normal or abnormal. High blood pressure also known as hypertension is when a person’s BP is above 140/90 for a sustained period of time is said to have hypertension.

Types of High blood pressure

Primary hypertension: in primary hypertension there are no root causes rather it develops slowly to a full high blood pressure.

Secondary hypertension: this is being cause by an underlying disease like kidney problem, sleep apnea, pregnancy induce, some drug prescriptions.

Health implications

When there is too much pressure on the walls of the artery as a result of the high blood pressure that cannot be controlled it can certainly damage the blood vessels, in the same vein vital organs in the body is equally damaged also.

Meanwhile uncontrolled Bp results to heart attack, stroke, heart failure, dementia and loss of vision.
