  4. Finally, sprinkle little water around the pot and return it back to the stove; then cook on low heat for a minute.

Modern Method – How to Make Funje Recipe Modern Way


  • 2 cups of fufu (cassava flour)
  • 4 cups water
  1. In a medium pot, Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Using a small bowl whisk to mix the cassava flour with 2 cups of cold water until the consistency is smooth and well mixed.
  3. Next is to add this mixture into the boiling water, then keep stirring using a wooden spoon until the mixture is slightly thick and smooth.
  4. Reduce the heat and cover for 10– 12 minutes.
  5. The Funge is ready when it has solidified slightly.
