Turmeric pasta is a delicious and easy recipe packed with flavor and veggies perfect for lunch or dinner. Pasta is a staple food around the globe, especially in Asian. While turmeric is a spice that adds a beautiful golden yellow color to a dish that can either be the sauce or the pasta.

Homemade turmeric pasta recipe is a comfort food of all times and season that is satisfying and filling when properly cooked to your taste. Though some may ask what does the pasta taste like. It’s a yummy and sumptuous meal with lots of health benefits.

Basically, you can make recipes using turmeric; adding this spice into pasta with other ingredients. Certainly, a sauce made with carrots, Green pepper, peas, cabbage, and spring onion makes it a healthy delicacy. 

How to Make Turmeric Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Pasta
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder or (fresh turmeric)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt

Ingredients for Sauce

  • 2 boneless chicken breast or chicken laps
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 medium-size carrot
  • 1 cup cabbage (finely chopped) Optional
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 stalks of spring onions
  • 1 Green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup green bean
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (fresh grated)
  • 1/2  teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon curry & thyme
  • 2 seasoning cubes
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour or cornflour
  • chili pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. First of all, in a pot boil your water, add salt and 2 tablespoons oil
  2. Secondly, add your pasta and turmeric powder then allow cooking until completely soft and tender.
  3. Lastly, drain excess water and transfer back the pot, cover, and set aside.
  4. Next step is to wash and dice your carrot, bell pepper, green bean, and spring onions; in other words, you can simply buy a mixed vegetable { it has been chopped already}
  5. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces, wash and place in a cooking pot, then spices with salt, curry, thyme, garlic. ginger, onions, seasoning cube; thereafter, cook to tender.
  6. In a skillet pan, bring oil to heat, stir in the remaining onion, stir fry and add all vegetables stir fry for 1 minute.
  7. Finally, pour in the chicken and stock into the vegetables and stir properly to combine. dissolve the flour or corn starch with little water and pour into the pot; stir as the consistency thicken.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if the need be, else off the heat and allow resting for 2 minutes.

At this point your delicious creamy sauce is ready, for the Vegans, this chicken is not required but you can use tofu in place of beef or chicken.
