Tiger nut milk is a tasty and delicious drink made from tiger nut tubers; tiger nut is a sweet and amazing nut that grows below the soil surface. This nut is also known as chufa nut, Aya in Hausa, Ofio in Yoruba, and Aki Hausa in Igbo. Ingredients

  • 1 cup of tiger nuts (Chufa)
  • 1 cup of water
  • Pinch of ginger or cinnamon or (Optional)

Method of Preparing Tigernut milk

  1. Wash and soak the tiger nuts for about 2-4 hours in a bowl of water and cover
  2. Rinse the nuts and pour into a blender.
  3. Add water then blend the nuts until the mixture is smooth and thick paste form add little water.
  4. Finally, use a strainer to strain out the tiger nut milk, pour into a gallon or tight container cover and refrigerate, Tiger nut milk is ready to drink.

Serve chill in a glass cup and enjoy it!
