In Africa, Asia, Europe, and other nations, goat meat is quite popular, but not so much in the United States, where chicken, beef, and pork thrive more.
Goat meat is also low in saturated fat, which is important for a low-carb diet, and it’s a good source of protein.
Surprisingly, goat meat is far healthier than beef, despite the fact that many people are unaware of this. Chicken, Beef, lamb, and pork all have more calories, but it also offers higher iron and protein.
Some people dislike goat meat because it is tough and difficult to cook, yet knowing how to prepare goat meat is essential to enjoy its rich tastes.
Slow cooking softens the muscle tissue and makes it easier to consume because it is usually rough due to its leanness.
How to Get Rid of the Smell of Goat Meat
Because my Grandpa rears Goat that’s how I got to know the billy (male) goats, popularly called Nwampi in Igbo language stink like hell! Virtually every alternate day’s Grandpa always sends us to clean the Goathouse (loafing shed). Unfortunately, this also applies to the meat, so if you eat a male goat, expect it to smell much compare to the female goat that doesn’t stink much.
Wash it thoroughly with saltwater and marinate it overnight to allow the marinade’s spices and tastes to penetrate the fleshly meat and neutralize the goat meat’s smell.
