- 4 plantains ripe
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil
Instructions on How to Make Fry Plantain
- Firstly, cut the both ends of your plantains off and remove the skin. lengthwise as preferred, medium-sized slices cut diagonally or cubes 1/2 inch thickness; sprinkle some salt and mix together.
- Secondly, heat the Oil in a skillet over medium-high or in a frying pan over medium to high heat.
- Thirdly, carefully add your plantain inside the oil in a single layer (Ensure you don’t overcrowd the Oil/pan).
- Next is to fry the first side for about 3 to 4 minutes. Thereafter, flip to the other parts and fry for like 3 to 5 minutes or until both sides are golden brown.
- Finally, remove plantains with a slotted spoon/ fork spoon and transfer them to a plate or tray lined paper towels and allow to drain oil.
- Repeat the process with the remaining plantains in case you have more left and Serve hot or allow to cool to room temperatures!
